Come meet other stitchers and learn from our talented teachers in a bright and comfortable setting. Knit, crochet or machine knitting; whichever craft you choose, City Knits teachers will help you succeed. We strive for an educational experience that produces confidence and helps students achieve success with the guidance and support of experienced stitchers. Group, special topics and/or private lessons are available.

GROUP LESSONS
Group settings provide a round-robin environment where attendees bring their weekly projects, goals and accomplishments. Group lessons are ongoing; you may join at any time. Class sizes are limited to facilitate maximum learning.
Cold, flu and COVID-19 social distance recommendations are practiced. Please do not come to City Knits if you are feeling unwell as many of our customers and staff are immunocompromised. Masks are always welcome. A full listing of requirements is posted in the classroom area. City Knits’ yarn must be used for all class projects. Classes often continue after store hours and help separate shoppers and students.
When safe to do so, City Knits provides socially-distant private and group lessons.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Sometimes, special attention is the solution. When one-on-one attention is needed or required, private lesson options are available. Private lessons should be scheduled in advance. Any yarn may be used for private lessons.

Winter Snow/ Ice Policy
When L’anse Creuse Public Schools are closed due to a “snow/ ice emergency” all classes (group or private) will be cancelled at the shop. (City Knits does not close for frigid temperatures.)
Shop closings (possible snow/ice emergency, power outage, furnace malfunction, etc.) and/ or class cancellations will be immediately posted on our Facebook page. Our voice-mail (586-469-9665) message will also be updated.
